Description

This attractive antique frame dates from the nineteenth century. It is constructed from wood with lovely bird's eye maple veneers. The frame has a gilt-painted inner edge and is glazed. It is of good quality.

Condition: Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing, grubbiness and wear as might be expected. There is no backboard to the frame. There is some slight chipping to the veneer at the corners and some shrinkage cracking to the corners.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
Picture Recess (back) - 38cm by 28cm, 1cm deep
Visible Image (front) - 33.5cm by 24cm
Overall - 44cm by 34.5cm, 2cm deep.
