Description

This lovely vintage teddy bear has no maker's marks or labels, but we believe him to be a Steiff bear. He has mohair fur, felt pads, glass eyes, and a brown stitched nose and mouth. He is hard stuffed and has the remains of a squeaker inside him that is no longer operative. We believe him to date from the 1950s.

Condition: Overall in fair condition, with some playwear consistent with age. He is overall dusty and faded, and his mohair fur is thinned with some balding patches. His pads are holed, heavily so to one hand pad. His joints are a little loose and his head is a little wobbly. As is mentioned above the squeaker inside his chest is no longer operative. Please note that he is misssing his button.
