Description

This antique overmantle mirror dates from around the 1820s/30s. It is need of some restoration. It has a lovely wood and gesso frame with neoclassical design and corinthian column supports. It retains its original mirrored glass.

Condition: Overall this lovely mirror is worn and damaged and would benefit from restoration. The frame is chipped and worn with some losses. It has been over-painted at some point in cream and would benefit from being repainted. It is grubby. The mirror has some quite significant corrosion and black spotting as might be expected. It has some chipping and flaking around the edges. It shows some signs of restoration and repair in places - there are newer blocks at the back.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 77cm high, 92.5cm wide, 6cm deep (to maximums).
