Description

This lovely lowboy / small writing table is in the Georgian and Queen Anne styles, but is a later reproduction piece dating from the early twentieth century. It is constructed mostly from solid walnut with lovely walnut veneers. The top and drawer fronts are cross banded and the top is quarter-veneered. The piece has a central drawer with a shaped apron beneath, flanked on etiher side by a bank of two drawers. The drawers retain their original brass handles, escutcheons and locks and one key is present which works all the locks. The piece is supported on tall cabriole legs.

Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall a little faded. There is some knocking around the edges and some repairs to the veneers in places, inlcuding to the top. The bottom corners of the bottom drawer fronts are worn.

Overall - 75.5cm high, 92.5cm wide, 50cm deep (to maximums)
