Description

This attractive pair of occasional chairs date from around the mid-nineteenth century. They have wooden frames, possibly stained beech, with lovely turnings and ring turnings. The chairs have bergere-work seats, shaped backs and splayed front legs.

Condition: Overall this handsome pair of chairs are in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and they are overall a little faded. The chairs are solid with only minimal movement in the joints. The bergere-work seats have probably been replaced at some point, and are in good condition.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 82cm high, 43cm wide, 41cm deep (to maximums) 44cm high to seat.
