Description

This attractive antique mirror dates from the late eighteenth century. It has a lovely wood and gesso frame in the rococo style which has been over-painted with a gold-coloured paint. It retains what we believe to be its original mirrored glass.

Condition: Overall this lovely piece is in usuable condition, but does have some wear and damage consistent with age and use. The paintwork is more modern and is dulled and grubby. There is some chipping and loss to the wood and gesso frame and some signs of repair and regluing. The mirrored glass has some quite significant black corrosion marks and spotting.

Visible Mirrored Glass - 26.5cm by 31.5cm
Frame - 42cm by 47cm, 5cm.
