Description

This attractive bow-fronted mahogany swing mirror dates from c.1820. It is constructed from mahogany with nice satinwood inlays to the top, including an inlaid shell motif. The mirror has a mahogany frame and is supported on turned uprights. It is adjustable. Beneath the mirror are three small drawers which retain what we believe to be their original brass handles. The central drawer retains its lock, but please note that no key is present. The mirror is supported on ogee bracket feet.

Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall a little faded. The piece shows some signs of restoration and repair. There is some minimal black corrosion spotting to the mirror.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 60.5cm high, 64.5cm wide, 25cm deep (to maximums).
