Description

This attractive Edwardian writing table dates from c.1910. It is constructed from solid mahogany and supported on elegant tapering legs terminating in shaped feet. The legs have tramline decoration to the front and backs. Beneath the top are two drawers with tramline decoration to the fronts. The drawers retain their original brass handles and Hobbes & Co. locks, although please note that no key is present. The piece is of lovely quality and both the drawers have maker's plaques inside for W. Walker & Sons of Bunhill Row in London. The piece would also make a nice side server or hall table.

Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall a little faded. There are some marks to the top and a small area of wood loss to the back edge.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 74cm high, 122cm wide, 61cm deep (to maximums).
