Description
Artist - Herbert Menzies Marshall (1841-1913), a British artist. Member of the Royal Watercolour Society and the Royal Society of Painters and Etchers. Exhibited at the Royal Academy and at the Old Watercolour Society.Title - Greenwich Reach
Medium - Watercolour
Details - Atmospheric watercolour painting. Signed in the bottom right-hand corner. There is an exhibition label on the back of the painting from M. Newman dated 1977. Mounted, and framed in a gilt-painted frame with artist plaque at the bottom.
Condition - Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age. There is some discolouration (browning) to the paper. There are some small bugs sandwiched between the glass and the mount. The frame has some chipping, scuffing grubbiness and wear.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
Visible Image - 17.5cm by 9.5cm
Frame - 32cm by 24.5cm, 3cm deep.
