Description

This attractive Georgian d-end dining table dates from approx. 1800-1810 and is constructed from mostly solid mahogany. It consists of two d-end sections, each with a single drop-leaf, which is supported on a single pull-out wooden leg. The two sides connect together using brass table clips. The table has four possible widths. It could also be used as a pair of demi-lune console or side tables. All the legs have attractive tramline decoration. When fully extended the table will seat 6-8 people.

Condition - Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall faded. There is some marking to the top and some veneer loss to the bowed apron beneath the top. There are some areas of minor wood loss in places, including to the bottoms of some legs. The table clips are later replacements and metal feet have been fitted underneath the legs at some point. One of the leaves is warped to one side, but can still be clipped into place.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
72.5cm high, 124.5cm wide, 181cm length (to maximums) 61.5cm high to apron each d-end is 47.5cm deep.
