Description

This lovely antique work table dates from c.1830. It is constructed from mahogany and retains a lovely colour. It has a lovely shape with a rounded pull out lower storage drawer with a smaller square drawer above. The lower drawer retains its original lining. The upper drawer retains its original lock. It also retains a key to assist with opening the drawer, but please note that this does not work the lock. The table is supported on a turned column with fluter lower section and a shaped quadraform base with carved decoration. The legs terminate in what we believe to be original brass castors.

Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall a little faded. There are some areas of minor wood loos. As is mentioned above although the upper drawer retains its lock and a key, the key does not work the lock. The lock is missing its escutcheon.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 77cm high, 51cm wide, 39cm deep (to maximums).
