Description

This attractive glazed bookcase is of nice small proportions. It dates primarily from around the 1870s with later alteration. The bookcase is constructed from mostly solid mahogany (with pine shelves and back). It has two glazed doors, which open to reveal five removable wooden shelves. One door has a small glass handle and the doors retain their lock and a working key. It is supported on a plinth base.

Condition Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition, with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected, and the piece is overall a little faded. It has had some alteration over the years and some parts, including the back panel and shelves, are more modern replacements.

The approx. measurements are as follows
Overall - 177cm high, 86cm wide, 29cm deep (to maximums).
