Description

This attractive hall table dates from around 1820. It is constructed from mahogany, some solid, some veneered over solid wood. The table has a lovely shaped top with ebony string inlay around the edge. There is a single drawer beneath the top, which has replacement brass handles. The drawer retains a lock but please note that no key is present. The table is supported on elegant tapering legs with shaped shoulders at the front.

Condition Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition, with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected, and the piece is overall faded, particularly to the top. The top has some scratching. The piece shows signs of some restoration and repair. There are some signs of old woodworm damage, mainly underneath - this is not active, but has been retreated as a precaution.

The approx. measurements are as follows
Overall - 74cm high, 77cm wide, 46.5cm deep (to maximums).
