Description

This lovely centre table is an original antique piece dating from c.1830. It is constructed from rosewood, some solid, some veneered over solid wood. The table has a rectangular top with rounded corners. There is a drawer underneath the top and a matching false drawer front at the other side. The drawer fronts retain their turned wooden handles. The table is suported on shaped supports at either side with a turned stretcher in between. There is a decorative roundel near the bottom of each support. The table is suported on turned cup feet with original inset metal castors.

Condition Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition, with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected, and the piece is overall faded, particularly and patchily so to the top. The top has some surface scratching, some marks and some wood shrinkage cracking. There is some cracking to the veneer around the table edge and a small area of loss to the veneer at the back.

The approx. measurements are as follows
Overall - 73.5cm high, 105cm wide, 63.5cm deep (to maximums).
