Description

This attractive church pew dates from approx. 1860 and is around 9 foot long. It is constructed from what we believe to be solid pitch pine with oak legs. It retains a nice rich colour and has a nice panelled kickboard. As the pew would originally have been fitted to the wall one end is more decorative than the other. Behind the panelled kickboard is a storage recess.

Please note that we have another pew available also - please see our other listings.

Condition Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition, with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing, knocking and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and some white paint flecks. There are some signs of alteration. There is some minor wood shrinkage cracking in places.

The approx. measurements are as follows
Overall - 89.5cm high, 275cm wide, 48cm deep (to maximums) 42.5cm high to seat.
