Description

This sweet bisque-head doll dates from c.1920s. She has A.M. Germany 341/2' moulded into the back of her head. She has a bisque head with glass sleeping eyes, and an closed mouth. She has a cloth body with composition hands. She is wearing a vintage white christening dress and bonnet, a vintage white nappy and white socks.

Condition Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age. She has some small scuffs to the paintwork of her head and some grubby marks, particularly to the back of her head. She has some minor paint loss to her eyelids and some paint residue to her eyes. Her cloth body is in good condition, but the mama box inside is inoperative. Her hands have some paint rubbing and wear and some manufacturing flaws as might be expected. There is some chipping to the fourth finger of her left hand. Her clothing has some age-related discolouration and wear. There is a stain to the front of her dress.
