Description

This lovely display case dates from approx. the 1930s, but is older in style. It has a stained softwood frame and glass panels to the side and top (which slide out of the frame). The top has a small turned knob and lifts off completely. The case itself also sits loosely on the base. The cabinet has a velvet-lined base inside, which we believe to be original. It is supported on shaped feet.

Condition Overall in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some nibbling and roughness around the edges of the glass panels. There is some sellotape residue to one side of the top glazed panel. The velvet-type lining is grubby and has some fading, discolouration and wear. There are small shelf hooks screwed into the frame inside. We do not believe these to be original and no shelf is present.

The approx. dimensions are as follows
31.cm high (external, to maximums) 21cm wide (internal) by 13cm wide (internal).
