William IV Mahogany-Framed Scroll Arm Armchair
Description
This superb antique armchair dates from approx. 1835. It has a lovely shape and would make a nice desk or occasional chair. The chair has a shaped top rail, a lovely decorative back-splat and scrolled arms. It has a nice rounded shape. The chair has a drop-in upholstered seat pad with a modern floral upholstery. The chair is supported on fluted front legs and swept back legs.Condition Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition, with some scuffing, knocking and wear consistent with age and use. It is a overall a little faded. There are some signs of old restoration and repair, including to the top joint of the right-hand arm, and there are some areas of minor wood loss. The upholstered drop-in seat is a little faded but is otherwise in excellent clean condition.

Overall - 85cm high, 50.5cm wide, 53cm deep (to maximums) 44.5cm high to seat.
