Description

This attractive Victorian pot cupboard dates from c.1870. It would make a nice bedside cabinet. The cupboard is constructed from mahogany, some solid, some veneered over solid wood. It has a shaped back rail, a shaped edge around the top, and a panelled door which retains its original turned wooden handle. The cupboard is supported on a plinth base. It would originally have had a shelf inside, but please note that this is missing.

Condition Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition, with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the cupboard is overall a little faded. There are some ring marks and scratching to the top. There is some chipping to the veneers around the base. A lino-type covering has been fitted to the back panel at some point at the back. As is mentioned above the shelf inside the cupboard is missing.

The approx. measurements are as follows
Overall - 80.5cm high, 39.5cm wide, 33.5cm deep (to maximums) 75cm high to work surface.
