Description

This attractive antique country breakfast table dates from c.1800 and is constructed from solid oak. It has a round planked top, a turned central pedestal and a tripod base. The top can be tilted. It would make a nice small dining table.

Condition Overall this handsome piece is in usuable condition, but does have some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing, knocking and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the table is overall faded, particularly to the top. The top has some dark marks, scratches and dents, and there is some slight shrinkage cracking between the planks. The table tilt-top catch is a replacement and the table shows some signs of old restoration and repair. The table top and supporting block are a little wobbly, and the supporting block has some shrinkage cracking and minor wood loss.

Overall - 72.5cm high (open), 116.5cm high (tilted), 81cm diameter (table top) (to maximums).
