Description

Attractive ornate gilt-framed mirror in the rococo style. Dates from the first half of the C19th. With attached candle sconces and decorative shelf / bracket with velvet covering. Carved wood and gesso frame.

Condition: Good, with some wear and damage consistent with age and use. There is some significant cracking and wear to the gesso with some areas of loss, including a larger area of loss near the bottom. Some grubbiness. The mirror looks to have undergone some significant restoration and repair over the years, and the mirror glass looks to have been replaced (although the replacement does have some age). There is some surface scratching and some minor corrosion flecking to the mirrored glass.

Measurements: 160cm high,72 cm wide, 23cm deep. To maximums, approximate.
