Brass Arts & Crafts Electric Hanging Lantern

1 of 6
Description
This attractive lantern is very much in the arts & crafts style. It has a heavy brass frame and retains its original coloured, textured glass panels. There are no maker's marks or labels, but we would estimate the piece to date from the early twentieth century. It is designed to be hard-wired into the electric supply, but the cable has been cut so it would need connecting by a professional electrician. The electrics have not been tested.Condition: Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age and use. The lantern is grubby and the metalware is tarnished. The glass has some manufacturing imperfections. There may originally have been a base to the lantern, but if so this is missing. The electric cable has been cut so it would need connecting by a professional electrician. The electrics have not been tested.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
35cm high, 23.5cm square (to maximums).
