Description

This lovely portrait miniature looks to date from the nineteenth century. We believe it to be hand-painted onto vellum, and to be a portrait of W.E. Gladstone. The miniature is unsigned. It is framed in a contemporary nineteenth century oval ebonised frame.

Condition: Overall in very good condition with some wear consistent with age. There is some knocking, denting and wear to the frame as might be expected.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
9cm by 8cm, 1cm deep.
