Description

This lovely antique fireplace fender is made from cast iron and has a nice rounded shape. It looks to date from the mid-nineteenth century and has been blackleaded. There are no maker's marks or labels.

Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing, scratching and wear to the finish as might be expected, and there is some corrosion.

The approx measurements are as follows:
40cm high, 120cm wide, 34cm deep (to maximums).
