Description

This lovely Georgian corner cabinet is constructed from solid oak and dates from the second half of the eighteenth century. It has a single central door , which opens to reveal two fixed shaped wooden shelves. The cabinet retains its original lock and escution, and decorative show H hinges. It retains a key, which does work the lock but not smoothly. This corner cabinet is designed to be screwed to the wall.

Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition, with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected, and some signs of old restoration and repair. The piece is a little faded. There is a small amount of old woodworm damage - this is not active but has been retreated as a precaution.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 88cm high, 77cm wide, 41cm deep (from corner to centre of the front) (to maximums).
