Description

This attractive farmhouse kitchen armchair looks to date from the second half of the nineteenth century. It is constructed from what we believe to be beech and elm with a shaped seat, shaped arms and a slatted back. The chair is supported on turned legs with a rounded H-stretcher.

Condition: Overall this attractive chair is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing, wear and marking to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall faded. There are a few paint marks in places. There is some slight movement in the joints. There are some signs of old woodworm damage - this is not active but has been retreated as a precaution.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 112cm high, 62cm wide, 73cm deep (to maximums) 47cm high to seat.
