Large Victorian Solid Pine Farmhouse Table

Photos

Description

This attractive farmhouse kitchen dining table is of large proportions and dates from approx. 1900. It is constructed from solid pine with a lovely aged patina and very heavy. The table has a planked top with a deep apron beneath and is supported on nice turned pine legs terminating in later metal ball castors. We believe the table would originally have had stand-alone extension leaves at either end as there are holes in the apron and the table top is not finished the same at the ends as it is at the sides. Please note that these are not present.

Condition Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition, with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing, denting and wear to the woodwork as might be expected, and the piece is overall little faded. There is some scratching, marking and minimal shrinkage cracking to the top, and some heavy scuffing around the legs. There are some signs of old restoration.

The approx. measurements are as follows
Overall - 75cm high, 188cm long, 120.5cm wide (to maximums) 58.5cm high to apron.
