Set of 6 North & Sons Oak-Framed Dining Chairs

Photos

Description

This attractive set of six chairs have an unusual shape and design. They are stamped underneath with the maker's mark for North & Sons of West Wycombe, and are also stamped G.R.V. (dating them to the reign of George V) and J.F.S. The chairs have solid oak frames and upholstered seat pads, that have been re-upholstered in green leather. The chairs have decorative tramlining to the top rail and around the edges of the seat. They are supported on swept legs with chamfered edges. They are of lovely quality.

Condition Overall this handsome set of chairs are in good usuable condition, with some wear consistent with age and use. They are solid but do have some movement in the joints. There is some scuffing, knocking and wear to the woodwork as might be expected, and they are overall a little faded. As is mentioned above the upholstery is not original, but has been professionally done and is in good condition.

The approx. measurements are as follows
Overall - 89.5cm high, 43.5cm wide, 45cm deep (to maximums) 46cm high to seat.
