Description

This attractive draw-leaf table is very much in the art deco style and dates from the 1930s. It is constructed mostly from solid oak with veneered panels in the top and has a lovely shape. The table has a shaped leaf at either side and is supported on shaped columns with shaped feet and a stretcher in between. There is a small metal plaque fixed to the underneath of the base which has a reference number on.

Condition Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition, with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing, knocking and wear to the woodwork as might be expected, and the piece is overall a little faded. The top has some scratching and a small area of veneer loss to the side of one of the central panels. There is some wear to the central columns on the inside where the chairs have worn against them over the years. The central top part of the table is a little warped, meaning that it does not quite sit flush when the leaves are closed.

Overall - 76cm high, 161.5cm wide (open), 90.5cm wide (closed), 90cm deep (to maximums).
