Wonderful 19th century steamer or wardrobe trunk in superb antique condition. The exterior is wonderfully distressed and enriched with riveted metal bindings, reinforced corners, and original travel‑worn hardware that speaks to decades of service on ocean liners and long continental journeys. The interior has a hanging section to the left with fitted rails on the right has a series of canvas covered drawers with top one having small compartments perhaps for jewellery and or small accessories. The interior lining retains its original pale finish, showing age‑appropriate wear that adds to the trunk’s authenticity and charm. A superb decorative piece as a hallway feature, a quirky wardrobe, or a stylish storage solution. Its honest patina, robust construction, and evocative travel history make it a standout example of classic steamer‑trunk craftsmanship.
