Description

Superb oil painting from English artist Frank Thomas Carter who was renowned for his picturesque landscape. This is a view from Slate to Boredale/ Boardale ( a little hard to read) and has been dated 1901. All this information is found on the back as shown in pictures. Surrounded by an attractive gilt frame with some age related imperfection however still a very serviceable frame. Artists signature can be found in the left hand corner of the painting also at the back around the edge of the canvas.
