From any angle looking at this most unusual, probably unique stool, you cannot help but be impressed. This wonderful large 19th Century country house centre stool is in a deeply buttoned soft brown leather on its original sprung frame. It sits comfortably into it's base, the Dutch walnut marquetry is of exceptional quality, and is shown profusely on all four sides showing off the floral designs to perfection. The stool stands on solidly made turned oak legs with brass and porcelain casters. The whole piece has been sympathetically and gently restored to a high degree making it ready to sit proud in any period property. It is a striking item of Antique furniture. It has provenance too. It originates from the sale of contents from the grade 1 listed Manor house and Salutation gardens in Sandwich, Kent, designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. It's now famous and current owners are Steph and Dom of channel fours 'Goggle-box' series.
