Description
Please check out my other cold painted bronze figures.A late 19th/early 20th century Viennese cold painted bronze figure of a stalking fox by Franz Bergman (1861-1936). Impressed to the underside with the Bergman model number 980 along with the French market ‘Depose’ mark and also another indistinct word which is most likely the ‘Geschutzt’ patent mark.
There are other examples of model 980 online, one marked with ‘Geschutzt 980’ and another marked with the Bergman urn mark and 980.
Measures 12 cm long and weighs 287 grams.
In good condition with paint wear commensurate with age and handling.
