Description
Lovely quality early 20th century Continental sterling silver box with import marks for Chester 1909 and the sponsor mark of Berthold Muller.Unusual scallop shell form and a cut-out lid with repousse decoration of apple pickers. Further repousse images of farming scenes and animals adorn the sides. The hinged lid opens to reveal a gilt interior.
In very good antique condition with minimal surface wear commensurate with age and handling.
It measures 8.5 x 6.5 x 4.5 cm and weighs 102 grams.
