Description

This Fine Quality Burr Walnut Davenport, with superb figuring to the veneers, dates from circa 1860.
Raised on four bun feet, the Davenport has enclosed drawers with inset handles to the right side, behind a lockable door. The Davenport has attractive panelling to all sides. The Desk lid lifts to reveal a Maple interior and a concealed metal pin which, when removed, releases the fitted stationery compartment on the top.
It is finished with a brass gallery, tooled leather inset and two working keys.
The colour is warm, rich and deep.
