Description

This unusual Inlaid Rosewood Tilt Top Davenport/Desk has an inbuilt mechanism which enables it to be used either with the top flat, ideal for a Laptop, or sloped for writing. It dates from circa 1900 and the number 7994 is stamped on the side of the drawer.
There is a button on the back of the Desk which, when pressed, allows the top to rise at the back and the Stationery compartment to be opened. It s lowered by pressing the button again.
The cupboard base unlocks and drops forward to access two shaped shelves.
The Desk has a green leather top and a polished back so it appears attractive from all angles.
