A remarkable and finely crafted beaded snake, made by a Turkish prisoner of war, dated 1919. Measuring approximately 150 cm in length, this intricate folk art piece is formed from countless tiny coloured glass beads, meticulously hand-stitched to create a vibrant serpentine design.

The snake features decorative geometric patterns along its body, and the date “1919” is clearly worked into the beading, marking it as a poignant piece of wartime craftsmanship. Such items were often created by prisoners of war as tokens, souvenirs, or to trade, showcasing exceptional skill and patience.
