WW1 British Cavalry Sword Dug Up

Interesting item. Purchased in France from the family of the farmer who ploughed this up in the 1920's in Crepy. The sword has rust damage but still in good condition, the scabbard has rotted on the bottom and the sword does not go all the way in due to rust.
