Description

Rare Japanese Showa period Kogarasu-Zukuri katana. In full polish, the blade is 62 cms long, unsigned tang. As described in Fuller & Gregorys " Japanese Military Civil Swords" page 214. Remounted in recent fittings, some made by Richard Adams. The iron tsuba is antique. One small chip on the saya.Total length of sword 90 cms.
