Description

A Georgian rosewood banded table, circa 1820, of elegant proportions, the well-figured mahogany top with rosewood crossbanding and stringing above a bowfronted single drawer, fitted with gilt brass oval backplate handles. Raised on square tapered legs with line inlay, this fine early 19th century table shows the refined simplicity of the late Georgian period. The drawer constructed in oak with hand-cut dovetails. Warm patina and pleasing colour throughout.
