This is an oak ladderback armchair circa 1880 it is made in the traditional way with no nails, screws or glue just holes and pegs, when you sit in it it moves with you , we bought it along with the other contents of a a very large house in Co Wexford. it was in a forgotten room along with deep tin baths swords, shields, spears, glass,china, Victorian toilets and all manner of old goodies and thick cobwebs and dust . So I surmise that it is a vernacular Wexford chair & quite rare. Sizes are are approx
