A very handsome 18thc oak bureau circa 1740 with very fine later Victorian carving and an interesting history, this comes with a receipt made out in 1903 for three pounds from an antiques dealer by the name of A Negus in Brighton a later letter states that the piece was brought to the Antiques road show for valuation in 1977 & shown to Arthur Negus star of the road show and going for a song before that & the son of the A Negus that sold it in 1903
