A most interesting pair of very high quality Swiss or Black Forest carved lime wood figures depicting two similar dancing medieval type figures who are taking part in a coordinated and flamboyant dance.

The figures are beautifully hand carved with very fine detail. They are fully hand painted with polychrome colours and gold tunics.

This most decorative pair of figures dates to circa 1930 and originates from the workshop of a master craftsman in either Switzerland or the Black Forest region of Germany.

Both figures are in excellent original condition with no repairs or restoration.
