Pottery monk wall hanging candelabra C1910

Photos

Description

This most interesting and decorative Austrian pottery wall candelabra is made in the form of a monk wearing a burgundy habit. He is reaching out from the wall with white arms and hands gripping a pair of candles. Both of these elements are beautifully glazed in contrast to his face, which is also white but left with a matt finish highlighted in tones of grey shading to show off his detailed, eccentric expression.

This decorative item could be a most interesting addition to the right position in your home, creating a good impact at night when the candles are alight.

It is marked on the back with a registration number and the words produced in Austria.

This unusual and highly decorative Austrian pottery Monk candelabra is in very good condition with no restoration.

Austrian, circa 1910

Height 28cm x width 28cm x depth 14cm
