Description

A most impressive large pair of Indian Raj period performing show elephants. Each animal is hand carved from one piece of rich solid teak.

The figures are left and right handed and each elephant has one leg raised with its foot playfully resting on a ball.

The figures are mounted and displayed on their original rectangular solid teak bases. Each has a chamfered edge and is intricately hand carved with a foliate design on all four sides.
