An impressive pair of large bronze stags standing in a natural majestic pose on rocky crags, featuring the signature ‘J Moigniez’ and raised on oval plinths of stepped, black marble.
Jules Moigniez (French: 1835-1894) was famous for his attention to detail, a skilled and versatile 19th century French animalier whose pieces were considered some of the finest in his day and continues in popularity in both the UK and US.
These are later, good quality castings of the famed originals are in excellent condition.
