Description

An original, labelled, FK 82 armchair designed by Preben Fabricius (1931-2007) and Jorgen Kastholm (1931-1984) for the German manufacturer, Kill International, in the early 1960s. The armchair comprises a striking chromed steel frame, the simplicity of which is emphasised by the construction, which probably dates from around the 1970s, united by the back rest and seat pad that has now been replaced sturdy, reinforced, black vinyl.

The armrests retain the original bound, brown leather with evidence of normal use with the left-hand arm having been professionally welded following an earlier fracture most likely where someone as tried to stand on the arm to reach something high. However, the weld has been carefully executed to retain the original form and strength without detracting from the overall appearance and this has been reflected in the pricing of this standout and highly sought-after, iconic design.
