Description

A labelled, Ercol high back Windsor Rocking chair, Model 317, and known as the Grandfather’s Rocking Chair, in Ercol’s Old Colonial finish with beech spindles and frame plus the added benefit of a solid wood, adzed seat and the rocker skids designed to stop the chair tipping backwards. Now presented with some of the original 1970s linen covers beneath the as new replacement covers by Plumbs in an attractive heavy-duty fabric of trailing orange flowers on a cream background – a mixture of acrylic, polyester and cotton.

In lovely original, solid condition with no loose joints and patina commensurate with age and use, with minor wear at the tips of the arms where used to assist rising from the armchair.
