An elegant pair of matching salon, side or bedroom chairs, in the French Empire style, dating from 1910. The solid mahogany frames have parcel gilded highlights to the carved front legs, rear sabre legs with backs and seats upholstered in an attractive cranberry or muted rose-coloured fabric with golden trailing leaf pattern finished with gold braid edging.The upholstery is in unmarked, clean condition coupled with the excellent, sturdy frames and no loose joints make these chairs ready to be placed in multiple settings.
