A nicely proportioned pair of Victorian oak hall chairs (c.1890) in the Jacobean or Gothic revival style, featuring ornately carved back splats and top rail depicting vine leaves and grapes between the barley twist and carved uprights terminating in attractive finials. Further carving decorates the seats and their edges which are raised on barley twist legs and stretchers completing these totally original and perfectly sound pair of chairs.DateLate Victorian :
